My three boys

You know as much as I love being a mom, I often reflect on the days when I was just married and worked a normal 8-5 job, enjoyed life, did whatever I wanted whenever I wanted... my how things change! No wonder moms go ape wild if they never get a break. Oh thank heavens for a loving husband who allows me to take breaks and get away! So anyway I just have to say what an exciting last couple days I've had, not like it's been just aweful, just eventful and I can't wait til spring comes to lighten my soul and shed some rays on me! So last week Bry woke up with one swollen eye, covered with eye boogers come to find out he had pink eye, Dr. said he would be ok to go to school the next day once we started him on his eye drops. So his eye looks great the next day, and then on Monday he woke saying his other eye was hurting ( i had been putting drops in that eye too just in case) on Tues he was still saying the same thing but didn't think much of it. Wed. he woke up with pink eye in the other eye and Ky now has pink eye in both eyes. I'm used to dealing with cows and pink eye, not children! so apparently it is very contagious and like stays on a surface for 2 days, so exciting. I think it's a miracle Cort and I have not gotten it yet. Tuesday night was one of those nights were all I wanted was to have Cort home so I could have some help, have some relief- I had lost my patience with both children, mainly Kyler cause he is so defiant and such a stinker sometimes. So he came home about 5:35 and was out the door by 5:43- he had to go on assignment to clean the Salt Lake Temple, which was very cool for him. He got home about 10:30- needless to say that night the kids were literally in bed and asleep at 7:20! I was kinda laughing but loving every second of it, they must have been tired if they went to bed that early. So Wednesday night I am upstairs trying a new chicken noodle soup recipe and Bryson just starts screaming out of pain and agony, sometimes he is fairly dramatic and sometimes reminds me of having a girl. Anyway, he comes upstairs and his nose is bleeding and it's dripping out of his mouth, so apparently Ky hit him with his head (he's been doing this lately and I don't know how it doesn't hurt him, he will end up brain dead someday) so Cort gets home from work and checks his tooth and it is loose so we were thinking he might have to have it pulled, thank heavens the dentist said he should be fine and let nature take his course... We took the kids into the doctor today and we are starting round 2 with the eyedrops for Ky and life seems to be good again. It's amazing how some days I have no patience for the kids and I loose my temper so easily and then other days how I am blessed with patience, thank heavens today was one of those days that I had patience, cause I have been tested by my kids. All I can say is I am happy tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is here! Phew!

Now I have to post something that Kyler said today that made me laugh. Kids say the cutest things sometimes, their little minds are so naive and sweet. He had just gotten done trying to go potty and I laid him on the floor to put his diaper back on, he kicked my stomach and I told him he has to be nice cause that hurts mommy, it can hurt the baby etc. So he said he wanted to see the baby, I told him he can't 'see' the baby right now, we have to wait til he gets healthy and big enough before he can come out. So he sits up and continues to say he wanted to see the baby and lifts up all my layers of clothing to see my tummy. Then he started pushing on my stomach saying he wanted him to come out cause he wanted to see him. So I continued to tell him he couldn't and repeated myself 3x over, so I was back sitting at the computer and all of a sudden he walks up with scissors in his hands, they are the cutco ones so they had come apart and he shows them to me and I asked what the world he was doing- he said he broke the scissors but he wanted to cut the baby out of my tummy so he could see him.... oh my goodness I about lost it! Where do they come up with these ideas? How cute is that?!

Okay Kyler's comment about cutting out the baby is hilarious. It's nice to know I'm not alone and we all have frustrating days. I hope the soup turned out! Fun to look at your pics!
