Catch Up Time!!!

So it's been about 4 weeks since I last posted... maybe longer? I've been trying to stay away from my computer because when I get on I find myself sucked in to this big black hole and then I find my days wasted away. What's happend since my last post?

While Bryson was at preschool the other day I took Kyler to Sugar House park and met Catherine there, the kids played for a whole 2 hours and were ready for more! I have one cute picture of Kyler enjoying his fruit snacks.

Our family loves to go up Big Cottonwood canyon to Silver Lake. We went up there this past Sunday and the Tupous came along with us. We say a momma moose that was right down by the lake eating and people were walking up to her and were not afraid. Brave people. We got a couple of pretty shots up us here they are.

Cort and the boys, aren't they cute?

Cort and Jorge

What a cute family picture, why can't Bry's eyes be open!?

I'm kinda tempted to crop Bry out. Is that mean?

Me and Mel

We went to a stake bbq with Kim Wride while Cort and Jamie worked in their home tearing down walls and putting new ones up and dealing with termites. It was a fun little party they had there and they handing out creamies at the end and Kyler was not letting go of that thing no matter what. He was going down the slide and running around and it was just getting too cold for him! This is a cute pic of him freezing and not wanting to give it up.

We go to the State Fair, hip hip! I have to tell what a deal we got (I love those deals!) So we went on a Monday night and they had all kids 12 and under free and adults pay the kids price, so of course I have my handy entertainment book that has a buy 1 get 1 free coupon in it so we got a family of 4 in for $6! Sweet! It's so funny how they lure you in there and the only thing that's pretty much free is looking at the livestock. Which was fun, don't get me wrong but of course the kids see the fun rides and have to go on them. We paid $15 and they each got to go on 2 rides, such a rip off. Oh well, everything else you had to pay to do and the kids were getting tired so we headed home. It was still a fun experience for the kiddos.

Bry's turn

Ky guy turns 2!!! My sweet little baby had his 2nd birthday party on Sat. the 6th of Sept. We got invited to another birthday party that day to Kangaroo Zoo so mom, Bry and Ky left in the morning to party while dad had to stay home to get stuff ready. They had a blast, we went to our good friends Josh 's party and then headed home in a mad dash to get everything ready for that evening. I had a mix match party where people were supposed to dress up in the craziest mix-matched costume they could find (I regret to say that we only had our lovely Brother and Sister in law, Damon and Catherine and kids who came dressed up) My brothers Jace and Landon were also willing to help me out and we put some clashy clothes on them and they were nice and stayed in those clothes once they saw everybody else show up in their normal attire. Anyway, I decorated by using all my old utensils that I've had left over from varies parties, all differ. colors, different napkins, some from Cort's graduation back in '04, superman, sports decor. and I used different table clothes that were from Bry's first birthday and some random Halloween decorations. I was so busy trying to get everything done in time I didn't get any pictures of any of it! So sad! Oh well. Then instead of making a cake I did the backwards thing and made brownies and had homemade ice scream. All in all we had fun, Kyler got spoiled (thanks to everybody who came) and we had a fun little shin dig! Here are a few pics of the par~tey.

uhhhhhhh. Me and Landon. Smile?

I just have to say what a joy Kyler has been to our lives. It was hard for me it imagine loving anybody as much as Bryson and not feeling like my love would be split or show favortism. But the Lord does amazing things, I love being a mom to my sweet little boys. Kyler is so much different than Bryson and always has me on my toes. He's been a climber from day one and I've found him on top of our counter dancing and getting into food that's been forbidden and climbing on chairs to jump on the couch etc. etc. He has no fear and has such a little attitude at times. I think for a 2 year old, really? He'll point his little finger at me and say 'no mom' or point his finger and tell Bryson to go to time out. It's pretty fun to see what new things he comes up with everyday. He talks so well and just melts my heart with those big brown puppy eyes (or Puss in Boots from shrek). I love you Ky, I don't know what my life would be like without your sweet little spirit in our home!

Bryson started preschool and boy is mom loving that! He now goes 3 days a week for 3 hours. SWEET! I do have to admit though the time goes by way too fast, and I find Ky wandering around wondering what to do next without his little buddy Bry to harass him. Bryson loves school, he is constantly asking when he gets to go to school again. He's really into art these days. He sits and draws pictures for everybody. He gave about 8 to our neighbor Mardene who watches him in the moringings while I cross and then he made a whole bunch for his teacher and her helper. Everyday he makes more pictures for more people and we are going through a lot of paper. He lays his clothese out the night before and lines his shirt up with his shorts and puts his shoes at the bottom with sox in each one. I only took one picture and he was waiting on me to find some shorts so it's not as cute as the time before when he had the whole outfit layed out. He wakes up way early and gets himself dressed, sometimes before I'm even awake! I am excited that he loves to learn and lets hope that continues years down the road.

Bry's first day of school, doesn't he look handsome?

Bry's clothes he laid out, this is all his doing and no influence by mom!

We headed up to Vernal to a little reservoir that we love over Labor Day weekend. It was beautiful and not busy at all. During the night on Sat. it started to pour on us (luckily this was while we were all sleeping) Sunday was pretty gloomy and over cast. We decided to clean up camp a day early and went out on the boat one last time and headed home to another rain storm in SLC. Cort had to pick up his truck in Park City (His work truck that he left on his job site) and so that left me driving the kids home in his big honkin' truck, he started to rain so hard my wipers were going the fasted they could and it wasn't helping too much. I honestly didn't know if I was gonna make it home safe, it was very scary. And for Cort to say that he had a hard time in his work truck made me feel like it really was bad.
Here are a few pics of us the first night.

Bryson, cousin Aiden and Gavin

Isn't this an adorable pic of Ky?

Me and Cort

I tried to solomn ski for the first time ever and I got to the point where I was getting a hold of it and would kinda get up and then I would drop, I can't believe how different it is than just the doubles. I think all those who can solomn are just amazing and then I look and Cort and his bro Damon and I am in awe. They go crusing across that wake so fast I don't know how they don't get mangled out there. I got some pretty good pics of them and a few of Cort on the wake board. I will put one on of me but Cort couldn't get the picture taken fast enough to actually see me standing up, you just have to believe me.

This is Cort, I didn't get a very good one of him skiing, he just goes too fast across the wake!

Another one of Cort

This is Damon, and I got an awesome one of him, nice rooster tail!

Cort getting some air trying to cross the wake

Cort- this is my favorite (remember he's just a beginner)

This is my father in law Phil, I only see him ski once a year (if that) pretty good huh?

The three cousins just hangin'

More of the kiddos

Ok, so apparently Cort only took 1 pic of me (boo hoo) and I wasn't even trying at this point!

Kyler fell asleep in Phil's lap and he just woke up

So now I sit here at 10:30 pm tired of sitting at this computer and wondering how I spent 2+ hours updating this blog. Note to self- don't wait 4 weeks to update blog! Life here in the Glenn household is good though. Sad to say goodbye to the summer, hoping to squeeze in one more boating trip, even if we don't get in the water. Excited to say hello to fall because it's just beautiful weather and who doesn't love the trees changing colors and the crispness in the air? We will be heading to San Diego in the next week and a half and will try to take lots of photos for the blog. I hope everybody is able to make it through this long post without getting too bored.

Until next time...
