Love to Love

Can I just say how much I love to love? Doesn't it feel so good to love and be loved? I love to give to people and make them feel good about themselves. Isn't that what we are all here for? I love to make people happy, especially my little family. When I get REALLY annoyed with my kids (about every other day) I just have to look at their sweet little faces and see their little dimples they inherited from Corty and just smile! Isn't it amazing that we can create lives? Well, with the help of God. It makes my heart smile to know that I am in a good spot in my life, even though life isn't always peachy and perfect, Mel, but I am happy with my life and my family. IT doesn't always have to be oh I am doing awesome with my job and I am making so much money and I am perfect and skinny and blah blah blah. It's about being happy and satisfied with yourself. You have to be happy with yourself to be happy and able to love others! I feel so blessed because I am happy with myself even though I am not perfect. That's what I love the most! My little flaws and everybody else's.
Can I also just say how much I love my family? I am going to talk about my parents here for a minute, not anything big and huge and wonderful to say, I just want them to know how much I love and appreciate them. I am here for them any time they need me and I know they are there for me anytime I need them. That's the beauty of family, whether you like it or not, it's a package deal- you are stuck with me no matter what! hee hee hee. No really, I am truly blessed to have such a loving mom dad, and brothers, who are all so adorable and handsome and hoping to help them fall in love some day.
Enough blubbering on, I feel like I have not made much sense with this post, but that's ok right?
Deal with it...
love ya ALL!!!!

Sound

Ky fell asleep while doing his breathing treatment (asthma)

All tuckered out...

I just love this kid! Take a look at his hand....

My kids have a thing with stuffed animals, check out the drool pile!

Isn't it amazing what sound can do to ones soul? Music can get you going, depending on what kind it is- pump you up or make you cry, laughter can only make one laugh and hearing children around USUALLY puts a smile on people's face. I just have to say how much I love SOUND! I love to hear my children's cute, sweet little voices that melt my soul, but at the same time I wish they didn't have a voice box so I didn't have to listen to them whine or cry or be silly saying goo goo and gaa gaa (seriously, what's up with 5 year olds trying to be 1 again?) So as much as I love hearing things, I also love to hear absolutely NOTHING!!!! My most favorite time of the night is when my children are sleeping. I have started a little thing every night (I used to a long time ago but gave up cause I just plain forgot) where I sneak in and look at the little sweeties while they sleep. Sometimes they are literally hanging half way off the bed, sometimes Ky guy's bumb is up in the air, kicked covers off or just the way we put them. I just love it. Especially when it's been a day when I can't wait to get them to bed cause they've driven me crazy, it makes me realize how sweet and innocent they really are and they just want to have fun in life and they don't care about the silly things adults do. I try to remind myself that every once in a while, to chill out, hang with the kiddos and relax! The house doesn't have to be spotless and the dishes don't have to be done. Just enjoy those sweet hearts cause they don't stay small/young forever and their sweet voices change so quickly, just enjoy THEIR SOUNDS!!!
If you don't, I urge every parent to look at their children nightly and you're worries will melt away (well maybe for a moment) and you'll be much happier with them the next morning!

Update

So I just have to update everyone on my sickie world - some areas have gotten better, some have not. Bryson now has a cold, not just any cold, coughing all the time, sounds like it's deep in his chest, says his throat hurts and as much as Bry whines and crys about other things, he doesn't really whine or cry about him hurting or not feeling good, so for him to say his throat hurts it must be painful. On Friday he also had diarrhea, got over that Sat. night and now Ky guy has it and I am hoping he had his last spell of that this afternoon. I am just hoping it's not rota cause that stuff is nasty, I don't think it is, I just want to vomit myself everytime I smell it... sorry to paint a pretty picture, but you moms out there know what I'm talking about right?! Does it ever get better?! (sigh....)

My three boys

You know as much as I love being a mom, I often reflect on the days when I was just married and worked a normal 8-5 job, enjoyed life, did whatever I wanted whenever I wanted... my how things change! No wonder moms go ape wild if they never get a break. Oh thank heavens for a loving husband who allows me to take breaks and get away! So anyway I just have to say what an exciting last couple days I've had, not like it's been just aweful, just eventful and I can't wait til spring comes to lighten my soul and shed some rays on me! So last week Bry woke up with one swollen eye, covered with eye boogers come to find out he had pink eye, Dr. said he would be ok to go to school the next day once we started him on his eye drops. So his eye looks great the next day, and then on Monday he woke saying his other eye was hurting ( i had been putting drops in that eye too just in case) on Tues he was still saying the same thing but didn't think much of it. Wed. he woke up with pink eye in the other eye and Ky now has pink eye in both eyes. I'm used to dealing with cows and pink eye, not children! so apparently it is very contagious and like stays on a surface for 2 days, so exciting. I think it's a miracle Cort and I have not gotten it yet. Tuesday night was one of those nights were all I wanted was to have Cort home so I could have some help, have some relief- I had lost my patience with both children, mainly Kyler cause he is so defiant and such a stinker sometimes. So he came home about 5:35 and was out the door by 5:43- he had to go on assignment to clean the Salt Lake Temple, which was very cool for him. He got home about 10:30- needless to say that night the kids were literally in bed and asleep at 7:20! I was kinda laughing but loving every second of it, they must have been tired if they went to bed that early. So Wednesday night I am upstairs trying a new chicken noodle soup recipe and Bryson just starts screaming out of pain and agony, sometimes he is fairly dramatic and sometimes reminds me of having a girl. Anyway, he comes upstairs and his nose is bleeding and it's dripping out of his mouth, so apparently Ky hit him with his head (he's been doing this lately and I don't know how it doesn't hurt him, he will end up brain dead someday) so Cort gets home from work and checks his tooth and it is loose so we were thinking he might have to have it pulled, thank heavens the dentist said he should be fine and let nature take his course... We took the kids into the doctor today and we are starting round 2 with the eyedrops for Ky and life seems to be good again. It's amazing how some days I have no patience for the kids and I loose my temper so easily and then other days how I am blessed with patience, thank heavens today was one of those days that I had patience, cause I have been tested by my kids. All I can say is I am happy tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is here! Phew!

Now I have to post something that Kyler said today that made me laugh. Kids say the cutest things sometimes, their little minds are so naive and sweet. He had just gotten done trying to go potty and I laid him on the floor to put his diaper back on, he kicked my stomach and I told him he has to be nice cause that hurts mommy, it can hurt the baby etc. So he said he wanted to see the baby, I told him he can't 'see' the baby right now, we have to wait til he gets healthy and big enough before he can come out. So he sits up and continues to say he wanted to see the baby and lifts up all my layers of clothing to see my tummy. Then he started pushing on my stomach saying he wanted him to come out cause he wanted to see him. So I continued to tell him he couldn't and repeated myself 3x over, so I was back sitting at the computer and all of a sudden he walks up with scissors in his hands, they are the cutco ones so they had come apart and he shows them to me and I asked what the world he was doing- he said he broke the scissors but he wanted to cut the baby out of my tummy so he could see him.... oh my goodness I about lost it! Where do they come up with these ideas? How cute is that?!

CAL*i*FORN*i*A BABY!!!

P.S. I think we all know that we took this trip in Oct. '08 so don't let the post date scare you, it really is Jan. '09-no need to fret or feel like you need to be checked in to any institution... I am just happy to have this done, it's been sitting in my edit posts for quite some time now... now if I could just finish out the year and wrap that all up, in due time my friends, in due time...
Well the long awaited California post is now at your fingertips! As you can see I put off posting so long because I feel like there is so much to do and post and it ends up taking a few hours. So I have been pushing this off knowing that it will take me a while, but owell. So here is our trip~

We left on Wed. Oct. 1st, Cort got off a little early and we started the long trek around 4:00 pm, we had made plans to stop in Prim NV at good 'ole Whiskey Pete's for a whopping $22. Cort claims we made money on them cause he found a $1 when we got out of the car in the parking lot. It took a while for my night owl Ky to fall asleep, actually what's that? He didn't sleep?! Crazy- well he slept until a little bit before Cedar City to have dinner and then from that point out he was up till after midnight. Bry was knocked out and Ky's eyes were glazed over watching Dora. For only $22 i thought it was a great little casino/place to sleep. We got up the next morning and had a wonderful meal at McDonald's and headed on the road to CA. Here's a picture of me in front of Whiskey Pete's (should have taken it at night with all the wonderful lights, pretty fantastic)

Not the most flattering pic ever taken
Naughty Mommy, but he climbed up and was playing with it!
I had to get a photo!

This is a really cool looking roller coaster, did not partake of though

The pic isn't that great, but trust me it was huge, it went around the whole casino

The drive from Prim to Ocean side was so blasted long and ugly. I had no idea that Cali could be so desert like and ugly. We arived around 1:00 and headed right for the beach. The condo we stayed in was litterally right on the beach. We was so beautiful there, the weather was perfect. The forcast looked like rain and a little cooler a couple of the days and it didn't happen. We went to the beach everyday but Sat. and Mon. Here are some cute shots of us at the beach:

My cutie

Bry just loves to pose

I just love catching those candid pictures

Don't you just want to squeeze him?!

Cort dug a hole, Ky was happy...

Still happy

Starting to feel constrained

In this pic, Ky had thrown himself back and was screaming to get out

I want out dangit!!

Bry literally running away from the waves, he had so much fun chasing them, I wish I would have taken a video, it was so cute to watch.

Bry was a bit happier to be buried in the sand

We went to Sea World on Saturday and enjoyed it thoroughly. It definately takes a lot longer to get around with the kiddos than it does with just us. Cort and I had gone 2 times before we had kids and loved it and we thought the kids would love it too- here are a few pics of Sea World

Here are few of my favorite family photos of our trip, we had a few at Disneyland and a few more at the beach before we headed home.

If I don't end the post now, you may have to wait another 5 months to get the end of the story, so here it is folks, a great trip, we absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back some day!

This one wraps it all up, all tuckered out at the end of the day- filled with many memories...
